Dandiya 2025

Hey IMS family! 🌟 If you were on campus on September 27, 2025, you know exactly why we're still buzzing a month later. Dandiya 2025 @ IMS wasn't just an event—it was a full-throttle celebration of Navratri that turned our college grounds into a swirling sea of colors, beats, and unbreakable vibes. From the moment the sun dipped, the air crackled with anticipation. This was our night, and boy, did we own it!

The Build-Up: Lights, Decor, and Non-Stop Hype

Picture this: the entire open lawn transformed under fairy lights and vibrant mandap drapes in saffron, pink, and royal blue. Giant cut-outs of Goddess Durga watched over us as we kicked off with the traditional Aarti at 7 PM sharp. Faculty, students, alumni—everyone circled up, clapping and chanting, setting the spiritual tone before the madness began.

Our Cultural Committee (shoutout to the 50+ volunteers!) pulled out all the stops:

  • A 20-foot LED backdrop pulsing with live visuals.
  • Eco-friendly dandiya sticks handed out free (because sustainability is sexy).
  • Food stalls slinging piping-hot fafda-jalebi, cheesy pav bhaji, and chilled thandai to keep the energy sky-high.

The Dance Floor Explosion

By 8 PM, the DJ dropped the first beat, and the floor erupted. We had:

Classic Garba circles for the purists—graceful twirls to soulful Gujarati folk tracks.
High-octane Dandiya clashes with Bollywood remixes that had even the shyest fresher swinging sticks like a pro.
Surprise flash mobs led by our BBA and MBA seniors—think 200 people syncing to Nagada Sang Dhol in perfect chaos!

Why This Night Mattered

Beyond the glitter and thumps, Dandiya 2025 reminded us what IMS is all about—community. Freshers bonded with final-years, juniors high-fived faculty kids, and alumni flew in from Mumbai just to relive the magic. In a world of screens, we chose sticks, smiles, and sweat.
