History & Milestones
Founded in 1934 by the visionary philanthropist Seth Bhanwar Lal Ji Rampuria, S.B.J.S. Rampuria Jain College began its journey as a Middle School with a noble mission to provide quality education to the youth of Bikaner and surrounding regions. Over the past nine decades, the institution has grown steadily into one of the most respected multi-disciplinary colleges in Rajasthan, guided by the principles of academic excellence, ethical values, and social responsibility rooted in its Jain heritage.
What started as a modest school has evolved into a comprehensive center of higher learning, offering programs across Commerce, Management, Arts, Science, Law, Computer Science, and Fine Arts. The establishment of the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) in 1984 marked a significant milestone, introducing professional management education to the region through an AICTE-approved MBA program. Today, the college stands as a proud symbol of educational legacy, having nurtured generations of leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
The institution’s journey reflects a continuous commitment to innovation, expansion, and relevance. From introducing undergraduate programs in the 1950s–60s to launching postgraduate and professional courses in the 1980s onwards, SBJS Rampuria Jain College has consistently responded to the evolving educational and industry needs of Rajasthan and the nation.
